that's what so great about vintage clothing... is that back then, designers and seamtresses didn't hold back on colors. they were DARING to use BOLD colors and INNOVATIVE patterns. i heart marimekko! Think 80's - it was all BOLD, BRIGHT, VIVID, COLORS, like neons.... and the 60's and 70's were all about intricate patterns of flowers o' colors, or simple yet strong stripes and circles. Nowadays, most things you see are in shades of BLACK, BROWN and BLUE. No more daring designers, cause no mo' daring folks. ...well, there's a few of us! :)
