How They Fit:
Simply put, these jeans could be considered miracles. Their magic lies in the unique craftsmanship of James Preserved rear pockets. The source of much agony for all jean wearers, James Preserved assures a higher, tighter appearance for all those rear view conscious customers. The reason? James Preserved’s rear pockets sit high and are set at an angle to reduce size and give the wearer that much sought after lift. Cut corners created an added sense of lift. Denim treatments such as whiskering are centered on the fly, which draw in the hips and makes their appearance narrower.

these jeans does miracles for your buttcheeks! instant butt lifter! and there's no tacky logo stitching on the pockets like the seven jeans.

yay! i agree about the stitching! i think the absurd mass production of seven jeans truly killed their prestige in the jean industry.

oh yea, and there are tons of seven and citizens knock-offs now.

mm... the seven knockoffs are pretty good. there are even small (forever-21 wanna-be) stores that are selling them. they even have legit-looking tags, serial numbers, even hardware. the best way tto tell is buy the material, which is tough. also, the if the hemming looks crapily done- that's also a sign. but seriously, it's hard to tell.

i know of for sure that there are knock offs for:
seven for all mankind
citizens of humanity
paper denim & cloth
diesel

hope this helps :)

My whole spiel about denim is to not buy too much into the fads because I find that I wear more of my standard denims (Diesel, Wranglers, etc.). The thing with Sevens is that they shrink up weird. Buy jeans that are subtley cool, give your butt that boost, and can last a few years without the need to replace it. I like James because -- YeaH, no ugly stitching.

PS. On all of my old Sevens that I still try to wear (but rarely) I took off the stitching and it looks quite cute! Now if only I could get it to fit the same way...
