On April 21, Gen Art alumni designer Doris Ruth will launch their Fall 2005 Ready-to-Wear Collection to the Chicago market and press. From 8-11pm, Reserve nightclub will host designer Allie Adams and a flock of fashionistas for this spectacular runway show, along with sponsors including Time Out Chicago magazine, Alberto V05 and Red Head Boutique.
What started as a part-time project with one sewing machine and a pile of vintage, has blossomed into a full-blown collection already recognized by Women's Wear Daily and Lucky Magazine as “one to watch.” The line has quickly found its way into many of the chic boutiques that line the streets of California, New York and Chicago and was recently recognized as one of Gen Art's Fresh Faces for 2003. The fall collection is called, Valley of the Dolls, for it's deep and luxurious fabrics and darker undertones.

no, it's not her.
you know, i tried going this, but it was completely packed. I couldn't get in. I was really upset cuz i drove 2 hours in traffic to get there. but forunately, i stole a goodie bag full of makeup, lingerie, and bracelets.
I was there and it was awesome! Jen Scheft was there and so was Necita Kwan (sp?)
It was really packed, which i guess i can understand, but was still very cool - even got to meet Allie Adams!
