Crossroads Trading Company Launches 12th Annual Fashion Photo Contest
Berkeley-based recycled clothing company invites public to submit photographic entries for cash prizes and placement in summer advertising campaign.

BERKELEY, Calif. - Starting today through May 29, Crossroads Trading Company invites the public to submit up to 3 color or black-and-white fashion-themed photographs for a chance to win its 12th Annual Fashion Photo Contest. Cash prizes will be awarded to the top three entrants.
First prize is $500, second prize is $150 and third prize is $50. Winners’ work may also be featured in Crossroads advertisements in various publications throughout the West Coast. Photographer credits will be given to any winning artwork.

“We’re thrilled to announce the launch of this year’s photography contest” said Chip Gerken, CEO of Crossroads Trading Company. “We feel lucky to have had such a diverse and talented pool of artists participate in the contest every year and are confident that for the 12th year in a row, we will receive entries that are as varied and interesting as the communities we serve.”

Winning photos will show the most attractive presentation of currently fashionable clothing. Photographs will also be evaluated on the basis of originality, creativity, composition and overall print quality.

Entrants may pick up an entry pack at any Crossroads location or online at the “Fun and Games” section of the Web site at www.crossroadstrading.com. Contest winners will be announced toward the end of June 2005. Entrants must
submit their work by Sunday, May 29th.
