Sometime between last night and this morning, Residents Apparel Gallery (RAG) was broken into.
Not only was the cash tray emptied, but most of the clothing and accessories were taken as well. These items were the blood, sweat, and tears of local designers, lovingly crafted by hand.
There is a way you can help:
Many of you work at or know someone who works at the buy/sell/trade stores on Haight street. These are likely venues for the thiefs to make more money by selling that which is not theirs to sell. I am going to list the names of the labels and ask that the employees of these stores keep a lookout for someone trying to sell them. Remember - these designers are people you know, your friends, your lovers, your drinking buddies, and they are now out thousands of dollars. Please help!
If you see these brand names report the event immediately to RAG or SFPD:

Gr.dano (tanks)
Dutchy (totes and purses)
Porcelynne (skirts, jeans, and lingerie)
Icon National (shirts)
Strawberry A Go Go (skirts)
Graffiti (jewelry)
Red Threads (dresses)

rag is one of my favorite boutiques in hayes valley!
i'm so shocked and saddened that it was broken into.
most of the designer items are on consignment too! what a shame.
