It’s done, at least for a few months. Here is a quick thank-you to all the vendors and shoppers and hanger-outers that participated. A good event is a real joy. Almost magic. Our next one will be in October. We are launching a new website for it… soon.
In other news I am opening a bistro/café on California between Polk and Larkin. I am calling it Fierro en Guerra, (Iron in War) this sounds absurd but it is San Francisco’s city motto: “Oro en Paz, Fierro en Guerra.” “Gold in Peace, Iron in War.” We wanted to use something tied to SF, some old restaurant name from the 1800’s, or old street, but people have had cheesy names for places for as long as SF has had restaurants. So Fierro en Guerra it is.
Fierrro en Guerra is in the Lower Polk. The Lower Polk Merchants Association is trying to change the name of the neighborhood to Polk Village. People generally refer to this neighborhood as Polk Gulch. I am pushing for “The Shank,” a fine cut of meat right next to the tenderloin. So please refer to the lower Polk as “The Shank” from now on. My new café is in The Shank. See how cool it sounds? “Hey man, where do you work?” “In The Shank.”
We should be open by July 1st. A good two months behind my fantasy projections. Talking about fantasy, I have a perfect life, yet I feel something is missing. That is why I am making sure I don’t miss Tony Robbins LIVE in San Jose. He is going to take that big boney finger of his and wake the giant in me. I am going to sit there until I have fully unleashed the power within. Then next October I am going to stomp around Capsule making sure you all are fully charged. I think I’ll get a megaphone.
Again thank-you to everyone, and we will see you in October for Capsule 4.
